Vallejo European Earth Pigment is designed for recreating the natural tones of soil, mud, and dirt commonly found across European landscapes. This finely milled earth and iron oxide pigment is perfect for weathering vehicles, armor, buildings, and dioramas, adding depth and realism through accumulated dust, dried mud, and the effects of long-term exposure.
The pigment’s micronized consistency ensures smooth dispersion in water, acrylic mediums, or turpentine, allowing hobbyists to achieve anything from light dusting to heavy, layered textures. Applied dry, European Earth provides convincing soil tones and dusty highlights, while Matte Medium secures the pigment for permanent, durable finishes. Glaze Medium extends working time, making it easier to create subtle run-offs, blended transitions, and built-up deposits around wheels, treads, and recessed areas.
For advanced texture work, Vallejo’s Water & Stone range expands the pigment’s versatility. Transparent Water can be used to simulate damp patches, oil stains, or wet earth, while Sandy Paste builds rough, coarse terrain such as churned mud or thick dirt accumulation.
