1. What is the Lord of the Rings LCG?
The Lord of the Rings LCG (Living Card Game) is a cooperative living card game designed by Nate French and published by Fantasy Flight Games. It is based on J.R.R. Tolkien's epic fantasy novel, The Lord of the Rings, and players take on the roles of heroes who must work together to complete quests and defeat enemies from the books.
In the game, players build decks of cards representing their heroes, allies, equipment, and events, and use these decks to explore Middle-earth, battle monsters, and progress through a series of story-driven scenarios. Each scenario offers unique challenges and objectives, and players must work together to overcome these obstacles and advance the narrative.
Unlike traditional collectible card games, the LCG format offers fixed distribution of cards, with each expansion pack containing a complete set of cards rather than random booster packs. This allows players to customize their decks without having to invest in multiple booster packs to find specific cards.
The Lord of the Rings LCG has a dedicated following and has won numerous awards for its immersive gameplay and faithful adaptation of Tolkien's world.

2. How to play Lord Of The Rings LCG?
The Lord of the Rings LCG is a cooperative card game that requires 1-4 players to work together to complete quests and overcome challenges. Here are the basic steps to play the game:
1.Choose a scenario: The game comes with a set of scenarios that tell the story of the Lord of the Rings. Each scenario has a specific set of quest cards and encounter cards that the players will face. Choose a scenario to play and set up the quest cards as indicated in the scenario's instructions.
2.Build your decks: Each player must build a deck of cards to represent their heroes, allies, equipment, and events. Each deck must contain at least 50 cards, and no more than three copies of any individual card (except for basic cards). Each player may choose to play with one or more heroes, and the combination of heroes chosen will determine the player's starting resources and special abilities.
3.Shuffle and draw cards: Each player shuffles their deck and draws a starting hand of six cards.
4.Begin the game: The first player takes the first turn, which consists of four phases: planning, questing, travel, and encounter. Each subsequent player takes their turn in clockwise order.
5.Planning phase: During this phase, players may play cards from their hand, pay for those cards with resources, and ready exhausted cards.
6.Questing phase: During this phase, players commit characters to the quest by exhaust them and placing them on the quest card. The players then reveal encounter cards equal to the quest's stage number and resolve any effects on those cards.
7.Travel phase: If the players successfully complete the quest, they may choose to travel to a new location, which may provide benefits or challenges.
8.Encounter phase: During this phase, the players must face enemies and other challenges that are revealed by the encounter deck. The players must defeat all enemies to advance to the next stage of the quest.
9.Repeat: Play continues in this manner, with each player taking turns and resolving each phase, until the players either complete the quest or are defeated by the encounter deck.
The Lord of the Rings LCG has many additional rules and nuances that make each scenario unique and challenging. It is recommended to read the rulebook thoroughly and play through a few practice games before attempting more advanced scenarios.
