A deep, dark red-brown, Hull Red (70.985) is the classic colour for painting ship hulls below the waterline, as well as rust effects, dark leather, and earthy shadow tones. Its rich, muted character makes it an excellent basecoat for weathered, aged surfaces on naval, historical, and fantasy miniatures.
