To the TistaMinis Warhammer: The Old World – Battle March Tournament!
Join us for a day of fast-paced tabletop action using the exciting new Battle March game mode from the Battle March General's Companion. Designed for smaller armies and dynamic gameplay, Battle March emphasizes tactical movement, objective play, and adapting to ever-changing battlefield conditions.
Throughout the day, players will battle across three rounds featuring official Battle March scenarios, Secondary Objectives, Secret Objectives, and Random Happenings, creating a unique experience every game.
Whether you're a veteran general or trying Battle March for the first time, we hope you'll enjoy a fun, welcoming, and competitive event.

Rules & Allowed Publications
The following rules publications may be used when building your army:
- Warhammer: The Old World Rulebook
- Forces of Fantasy
- Ravening Hordes
- Arcane Journals
- Battle March General's Companion
Players may also use Warhammer: The Old World Legends army lists and units published by Games Workshop. The latest Legends rules and army lists are available as free downloads from the Warhammer Community website.
The latest Games Workshop FAQs and Errata published prior to the event will be in effect.
Army Construction
Players will build a 600-point army.
Although armies are built to 600 points, all army construction restrictions are treated exactly as though the game were a 500-point Battle March game.
If an option, upgrade, unit, or choice cannot normally be taken in a 500-point Battle March game, it cannot be taken at this event.
This format keeps the spirit of Battle March intact while allowing slightly larger armies and more varied force composition.
Army Restrictions
Minimum Units
Your army must contain at least two units.
Characters
A maximum of 25% of your army's total points may be spent on a single Character.
Maximum: 150 points
Core Units
A single Core unit may cost no more than 35% of your army's total points.
Maximum: 210 points
Special Units
A single Special unit may cost no more than 30% of your army's total points.
Maximum: 180 points
Rare Units
A single Rare unit may cost no more than 25% of your army's total points.
Maximum: 150 points
Mercenaries & Allies
Mercenary Contingents are not permitted.
Allied Contingents are not permitted.
0–1 Restrictions
Any unit listed as:
0–1 per 1,000 points
is limited to:
0–1 in your army.
Additional copies may not be taken.
Battle March Rules
All games will use the Battle March rules from the Battle March General's Companion, including:
- Battle March Scenarios
- Secondary Objectives
- Secret Objectives
- Random Happenings
- Weather Effects
- Terrain Effects
At the start of each round, the Tournament Organizer will announce:
- The scenario being played
- The Random Happening
- Weather conditions
- Terrain effects (if applicable)
These will be the same for every table.
Army Lists
Players are encouraged to submit army lists prior to the event.
Army lists should clearly include:
- Army Faction
- Characters
- Magic Items
- Unit Sizes
- Upgrades
- Total Points
Please bring either a printed or digital copy of your army list to the event.
Round Procedure
Each round lasts 2 hours.
Players should:
- Introduce themselves to their opponent.
- Review the scenario together.
- Read any battlefield special rules.
- Play the game in a timely manner.
- Complete and submit the result slip at the end of the round.
If time is called before a game is completed:
- Finish the current player turn.
- Do not begin another game turn.
Pairings
- Round One: Random Pairings
- Rounds Two & Three: Swiss Pairings based on current standings
Rematches will be avoided whenever possible.
Scoring
Tournament standings will be determined using the following criteria:
- Battle March Victory Points
- Secondary Objective Points
- Secret Objective Points
- Strength of Schedule
- Victory Points Destroyed (if required)
Full scoring sheets will be provided at the event.
Sportsmanship
This event is intended to provide an enjoyable experience for everyone involved.
Players are expected to:
- Play honestly and respectfully.
- Measure carefully.
- Maintain a reasonable pace of play.
- Resolve rules questions courteously.
- Treat opponents, staff, terrain, and miniatures with respect.
If a rules dispute cannot be resolved, pause the game and call the Tournament Organizer. The Tournament Organizer's ruling is final.
Painting
Painting is encouraged but not required.
Fully painted armies may be eligible for hobby awards if offered during the event.
