Tamiya TAM14010 SUZUKI GSX 1100 "KATANA" (1/12)
The Suzuki GSX1100S Katana is a Japanese sports motorcycle that was presented to the public for the first time in 1981 - its serial production started in the same year and lasted until 2006. The drive was provided by a four-cylinder engine with a capacity of 1074 cm3 and a maximum power of 111 HP.
The maximum speed of the vehicle reached 237 km / h! The GSX1100S Katana model was launched into production by the Suzuki Motor Company as one of the Katana motorcycle series. Vehicles of this type were designed by the German Target Design office, commissioned by Suzuki in 1979-1980, as typical standard sports motorcycles. It was assumed that these motorcycles would be sold primarily on the Japanese and Western European markets.
The Suzuki GSX1100S Katana, in turn, entered the market in the late 1980s as the world's fastest mass-produced motorcycle in its class. The motorcycle was distinguished not only by its great engine, fantastic performance, but also by its unusual design. It also turned out to be quite a commercial success, setting trends in some fields for the coming years!
