The Peninsular War
Beginning in 1808, the Peninsular War became a major struggle between Napoleonic France and the forces opposing French control of Spain and Portugal.
British and Portuguese armies fought alongside Spanish forces and irregulars against French troops across a challenging landscape of mountains, villages, fortifications, and difficult supply routes.
The campaign produced some of the Napoleonic Wars' most memorable engagements and provides a rich setting for historical tabletop gaming.
Why Add The Peninsular War?
For existing Soldiers of Napoleon players, The Peninsular War opens up an entirely new theatre of operations. The varied forces and distinctive nature of the campaign provide additional opportunities for building armies, recreating historical engagements, and developing narrative campaigns.
It's particularly appealing for players interested in the campaigns of Wellington, French operations in Iberia, and the Spanish and Portuguese forces that fought throughout the conflict.
Please Note: This product expands Soldiers of Napoleon and may require the core rules and appropriate miniature armies for play.
