Rubicon Models British A15 Crusader

The British A15 Crusader from Rubicon Models recreates one of Britain’s most recognizable cruiser tanks of World War II. Designed for speed and maneuverability, the Crusader became a key armored vehicle during the North African campaign, where British forces relied on its mobility to engage Axis armor across the open desert battlefield.

This detailed plastic kit is an excellent addition to Bolt Action, Chain of Command, and other WWII historical tabletop wargames, bringing iconic British armored power to your collection.

Features:

  • Highly Detailed Plastic Model Kit: Accurately represents the British A15 Crusader cruiser tank.
  • Fast Cruiser Tank Design: Built for mobile warfare and rapid battlefield maneuvers.
  • Ideal for North Africa Campaigns: Perfect for British Eighth Army and desert warfare forces.
  • 28mm Scale Compatibility: Suitable for popular WWII tabletop games and historical collections.

About the Vehicle:

The Crusader entered service in 1941 as part of Britain’s cruiser tank doctrine, emphasizing speed and mobility over heavier armor. Armed initially with the 2-pounder anti-tank gun and later upgraded in some variants, the Crusader became heavily associated with the Western Desert campaign against German Afrika Korps forces.

Although eventually outclassed by newer enemy tanks, the Crusader remained an important vehicle in reconnaissance, support, and anti-aircraft roles throughout the war.

Why Choose the British A15 Crusader?

  • Iconic British WWII Tank: A staple vehicle for desert warfare armies.
  • Excellent for Historical Scenarios: Perfect for North Africa and early-war campaigns.
  • Great Hobby Project: Ideal for desert camouflage, weathering, and customization.
