PLASTIC SOLDIER RUSSIAN T70 TANK
A detailed multi-pose plastic kit recreating the iconic Soviet T-70 light tank, ideal for Eastern Front wargaming and WWII model collections.
Product Info
This kit builds the T-70, a Soviet light tank used extensively from 1942–1943. Designed as an evolution of the earlier T-60, the T-70 introduced a lengthened hull, improved suspension, a redesigned turret, and enhanced armour protection. Roughly 8,250 vehicles were produced across Gorki, Kirov, and Sverdlovsk, making it a common battlefield sight in mid-war engagements.
About the Vehicle
The T-70 weighed about 9.2 tons in its standard configuration and was powered by twin GAZ-202 engines delivering a combined output of 140 horsepower. Its primary armament was the 45 mm 20K wz.1938 gun, supported by a coaxial DT 7.62 mm machine gun. Created to replace the lighter T-60, the T-70 served in reconnaissance, infantry support, and fast-response roles, offering mobility and reliability despite its light armour. The improved T-70M variant later refined the tank further, contributing to its continued frontline usage until it was gradually phased out by more capable medium tanks.
About the Model
Plastic Soldier’s kit captures the authentic profile of the T-70 with clean detailing and straightforward assembly. Ideal for use in 15mm/1:100 scale WWII tabletop games such as Flames of War, this kit is also a great choice for historical modelers seeking accuracy and ease of build. Models are supplied unpainted and require assembly.
