he Rolling Pin Madness of Cthulhu is a textured rolling pin designed to create continuous, repeating patterns in clay and modeling putties. Featuring cursed bricks, eldritch runes, and unmistakable Cthulhu-inspired motifs, it’s ideal for atmospheric bases, terrain, and decorative hobby projects.
Made from clear PMMA plastic, this rolling pin offers excellent non-stick performance, consistent depth, and smooth rolling action. It’s non-toxic, durable, and easy to clean, making it suitable for regular tabletop and modeling use.
Length is approximately 14.5 cm (5.5 inches) with a diameter of 2.5 cm (1 inch). Texture designs vary by version, featuring different brick layouts and Lovecraftian symbols.
Usage Overview
Roll out properly mixed clay or putty to an even surface before texturing. For best results, smooth the material first with a plain rolling pin. Lightly wet the textured pin if needed to prevent sticking, then roll slowly using even pressure. Trim excess material once cured or dried to avoid deformation.
Compatible Materials
Works well with polymer clays such as Fimo and Sculpey, which allow easy correction before baking. These can be applied directly to MDF bases and baked together at roughly 150°C for around 15 minutes.
Epoxy putties can be applied directly to plastic bases with no baking required. Green Stuff benefits from light moisture or a release agent due to its stickiness, while firmer putties like Milliput should be used with minimal water and thorough kneading.
