Defenders of the Great Bastion Army Reinforcement Set expands or launches an Armies of Grand Cathay force for Warhammer: The Old World. This boxed set combines powerful magical support with massed infantry and ranged firepower.
This set builds 53 multipart plastic miniatures:
1 Astromancer on foot
1 Astromancer mounted on Cathayan Warhorse
1 Familiar
8 Crane Gun Teams
12 Iron Hail Gunners
30 Peasant Soldiers

Battlefield Role
Led by two Astromancers, one mounted and one on foot, this force brings strong magical presence to support its ranks. The Peasant Levy forms the core of the army, overwhelming opponents through sheer numbers and battlefield control.
Crane Gun Teams and Iron Hail Gunners provide devastating ranged support, capable of cutting down enemy units before they reach the Cathayan line.
The combination of magic, massed infantry, and black powder firepower makes this reinforcement set a flexible and thematic addition to any Grand Cathay army.
Customization Options
The Astromancers each include two head options and two right-hand weapon choices.
Peasant Soldiers can be equipped with either warbows or long spears. The kit includes components to build up to:
Three optional champions with head choices
Three optional musicians
Three optional standard bearers
A total of 72 interchangeable heads are included, featuring a mix of bare heads and hat options. Heads, hats, quivers, and weapons are interchangeable across the bodies for varied unit builds.
Assembly and Components
This kit contains 696 plastic components and includes:
1 Citadel 30mm x 60mm Rectangular Base
8 Citadel 50mm x 25mm Rectangular Bases
44 Citadel 25mm Square Bases
Miniatures require assembly and are supplied unpainted. Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints are recommended.
