About the Vehicle:
The 43M Zrínyi II was a Hungarian assault gun inspired by the German StuG III but built on the Turán tank chassis. Armed with a 105mm howitzer, it was designed to provide close support for infantry and proved highly effective against fortifications and soft targets. A smaller number of 44M Zrínyi I prototypes were built with a long 75mm gun for anti-tank duties, but the majority produced were the howitzer-armed version. Serving from 1943 to the end of the war, the Zrínyi became the signature armored vehicle of Hungary’s late-war army.
