D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Miniatures: Nimblewright Steed with Rider

Bring clockwork engineering to your tabletop with the D&D Nolzur's Marvelous Unpainted Miniatures: Nimblewright Steed with Rider. This officially licensed Dungeons & Dragons miniature depicts a mechanical steed and rider, providing a distinctive construct for fantasy cities, noble estates, patrol encounters, and magically advanced settings.

Created as tireless mounts for mechanical riders, Nimblewright Steeds combine strength and dexterity with an unusual tendency to become fixated on familiar routes. They can serve in numerous roles, from pulling coaches through city streets to patrolling the grounds of wealthy estates.

The miniature comes pre-primed and ready for painting, with deeply sculpted details designed to make the model's mechanical surfaces easier to pick out with a brush.

Nimblewright Steed

Nimblewright Steeds are mechanical mounts created to serve equally unusual riders.

Unlike living horses, these clockwork constructs possess tremendous endurance and can continue performing their assigned duties without the fatigue that limits ordinary mounts.

Their combination of mechanical strength and precise movement makes them useful for a wide variety of tasks.

Mechanical Rider

The included rider completes the model and gives Dungeon Masters a ready-made mounted construct for their encounters.

Use the miniature as:

• A mechanical guard

• A mounted patrol

• A noble's protector

• A messenger

• A city watch construct

• A coach escort

• A magical servant

• An unusual NPC

• A hostile encounter

Its versatility allows the miniature to appear as either an ally, neutral character, or enemy depending on the adventure.

Inexhaustible Clockwork Mount

Nimblewright Steeds are particularly useful in roles requiring endurance.

Their mechanical construction makes them well suited to long journeys and repetitive tasks, though their tendency to become fixated on frequently traveled routes can create interesting complications.

A steed may continue following a familiar path even when circumstances have changed, giving Dungeon Masters an unusual characteristic around which to build encounters or puzzles.

Perfect for Fantasy Cities

The Nimblewright Steed with Rider fits especially well into settings where magic and mechanical engineering exist side by side.

Use it in:

• Fantasy cities

• Noble estates

• Magical academies

• Clockwork workshops

• Merchant districts

• Palace grounds

• City gates

• Construct factories

• Arcane laboratories

It can also work well in Eberron-style, steampunk, or other magically industrial campaign settings.

Pre-Primed for Painting

The miniature arrives pre-primed, reducing preparation time before painting.

Deeply sculpted details make the mechanical surfaces well suited to techniques such as:

• Base coating

• Washing

• Drybrushing

• Edge highlighting

• Layering

• Glazing

• Contrast-style painting

Some translucent components may remain unprimed to preserve their transparent appearance.

Excellent Painting Project

The combination of rider and mechanical mount provides plenty of opportunities for different materials and effects.

Experiment with:

• Brass

• Copper

• Steel

• Iron

• Gold

• Verdigris

• Rust

• Oil staining

• Glowing magical components

• Weathered metal

• Decorative armor

• Arcane energy effects

The model can be painted as a pristine noble construct or a heavily weathered machine that has spent years following the same route.

50mm Clear Plastic Base

The set includes 1 50mm clear plastic base.

The transparent base allows the model to blend naturally with different dungeon maps, city streets, gaming mats, and terrain without committing it to a single environment.
