Axis Sonderkampfgruppe – Combined-Arms Warfare
The Axis Sonderkampfgruppe is built around the combination of specialized infantry and advanced mechanical units.
Rather than relying on a single type of soldier, the formation brings together several distinct battlefield elements.
The heavily armoured Stahltruppen provide a powerful infantry presence, while the relentless Totenkorps add an unsettling element of undead warfare.
Supporting these troops are the agile Vogelspinne Light Walkers and the Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer, giving the formation additional mobility and mechanical firepower.
Together, these units create a versatile force suited to different battlefield situations.
Stahltruppen Platoon Commander
The set includes 1 Stahltruppen Platoon Commander, supplied as a Warlord Resin miniature.
This officer provides a command figure for the Sonderkampfgruppe, representing the leadership responsible for coordinating the formation's specialist infantry and supporting walkers.
The miniature also serves as a distinctive character model within the Axis force.
6 Stahltruppen Specialist Infantry
The box contains 6 multipart plastic Stahltruppen Specialist Infantry.
These heavily armoured soldiers represent the Axis commitment to developing advanced military equipment through Rift technology.
Their imposing armour and specialized battlefield role distinguish them from conventional infantry.
The Stahltruppen provide the armoured infantry component of the Sonderkampfgruppe.
15 Totenkorps Specialist Infantry
The set includes 15 multipart plastic Totenkorps Specialist Infantry.
These terrifying undead soldiers are among the most recognizable creations of the Axis war machine in Konflikt '47.
The Totenkorps embody the darker side of Rift-era military experimentation, bringing the restless dead onto the battlefield.
Their presence gives the Sonderkampfgruppe a distinctive visual identity and reinforces its combination of conventional military organization with unnatural technology.
2 Vogelspinne Light Walkers
Providing mobile mechanical support are 2 Vogelspinne Light Walkers.
These multipart plastic miniatures represent agile Axis combat machines designed to accompany infantry formations.
Their spider-like appearance and mechanical construction make them distinctive additions to the battlefield.
The Vogelspinne walkers complement the Sonderkampfgruppe's infantry by providing additional mobility and tactical flexibility.
Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer Light Walker
The box also includes 1 Sd.Kfz. 501/1 Nachtzehrer Light Walker.
This multipart plastic combat walker adds another mechanical element to the formation.
Alongside the two Vogelspinne walkers, the Nachtzehrer helps create a varied Armoured Walker Platoon.
Its distinctive design also makes it an appealing painting and modelling project.
Assault Platoon & Armoured Walker Platoon
The Axis Sonderkampfgruppe includes miniatures suitable for fielding two complementary platoon formations.
Assault Platoon
The Stahltruppen Platoon Commander, Stahltruppen Specialist Infantry, and Totenkorps Specialist Infantry form the core of the force.
Armoured Walker Platoon
The two Vogelspinne Light Walkers and single Nachtzehrer Light Walker provide mechanical support.
Together, these formations offer a combination of infantry strength, mobility, and specialized combat capabilities.
Versatile Battlefield Tactics
The Sonderkampfgruppe is designed to handle a variety of battlefield challenges.
Its combination of units provides options for:
-
Rapid battlefield movement
-
Direct infantry engagements
-
Armoured infantry assaults
-
Mobile walker support
-
Combined-arms operations
-
Coordinated attacks
This makes the box particularly appealing to players who enjoy flexible army compositions rather than relying entirely on one type of unit.
Rift Technology & Axis Warfare
Konflikt '47 explores an alternate version of the Second World War in which mysterious Rift technology has transformed military development.
The Axis has used these discoveries to create heavily armoured soldiers, advanced combat walkers, and terrifying undead infantry.
The Sonderkampfgruppe brings these developments together in a single fighting force.
Its combination of Stahltruppen, Totenkorps, and mechanical walkers reflects the unusual military technologies that define the Konflikt '47 setting.
8 Rift Dice & 7 Order Dice
The box includes essential gaming accessories for Konflikt '47.
8 Rift Dice
These specialized dice support the game's Rift-related mechanics.
7 Order Dice
Order Dice are used as part of the game's unit activation system.
Including both types of dice makes the Sonderkampfgruppe a convenient starting point for an Axis collection.
Axis Vehicle & Infantry Decals
The set includes:
These decals can be used to add suitable military markings to your miniatures.

Miniature Assembly & Painting
