Collecting BattleMechs
The Starter Box provides your first introduction to this expansive universe.
The box includes 2 high-quality BattleMech miniatures, allowing players to command opposing war machines in introductory battles.
Each BattleMech represents a powerful combat vehicle with its own battlefield characteristics.
Use the miniatures to learn movement, positioning, and combat as you become familiar with the BattleTech rules.
The included Quick-Start Rules provide an accessible introduction to BattleTech gameplay.
These simplified rules help new players understand the fundamentals before moving on to more advanced systems.
Learn essential concepts such as:

Battlefield positioning
Weapon attacks
Tactical decision-making
Combat resolution
The quick-start format makes it easier to begin playing without needing to learn the full range of advanced BattleTech rules immediately.
The Starter Box includes a BattleTech mapsheet, providing a battlefield for your introductory games.
BattleTech uses hex-based maps to represent terrain, movement, and combat positioning.
The mapsheet provides a structured playing area where players can learn how terrain and positioning influence tactical decisions.
The set includes MechWarrior cards representing the pilots controlling your BattleMechs.
These cards provide an introduction to the individual skills and characteristics that distinguish one MechWarrior from another.
They also add personality to your battles, helping connect the machines on the tabletop to the pilots commanding them.
The Starter Box includes dice for resolving gameplay actions.
Dice are an essential part of BattleTech combat, helping determine the outcomes of attacks and other game situations.
With dice included, new players have the basic gaming accessories needed to begin their first battles.
BattleTech rewards careful planning and battlefield awareness.
Players must consider where to position their BattleMechs, how to approach opponents, and when to commit to an attack.
Even introductory battles introduce the tactical decision-making that makes BattleTech appealing to experienced miniature wargamers.
