The Sherman Calliope was a unique rocket-armed variant of the famous M4 Sherman tank used by the United States during the Second World War. About the Tank

The Rocket Launcher T34 (Calliope) was a tank-mounted multiple rocket launcher used by the United States Army during WWII. Mounted above the turret, the system fired 4.5-inch (114mm) rockets from 60 launch tubes, unleashing a powerful barrage capable of suppressing enemy defenses.

The nickname ā€œCalliopeā€ came from the musical instrument of the same name, a steam-powered organ known for its distinctive row of pipesā€”similar in appearance to the launcher tubes mounted above the tank.
