About the Vehicle:
The Kliment Voroshilov (KV) series was the Red Army’s heavy tank design, famous for its near-invulnerability during the early years of WWII. The KV-1E (ekranami, meaning “screened”) was a field modification that added bolted-on plates for enhanced protection. Although extremely tough, the added weight made it sluggish, straining its engine and suspension. Nevertheless, it remained a key weapon for holding the line against German offensives.
