Chevron markings are an excellent way to give models a military, industrial, futuristic, or tactical appearance while adding visual contrast to otherwise plain surfaces.
Use the stencil to customize tanks, transports, walkers, mechs, aircraft, armor panels, weapons, barricades, doors, buildings, containers, objective markers, and battlefield terrain.
Chevron patterns can be used as unit identification markings, decorative vehicle stripes, industrial warning graphics, or simply as a bold visual element in a custom paint scheme. They also work particularly well alongside weathering, chipping, rust, grime, and battle damage.
Two Ways to Use Your Stencil
Each design has cut lines surrounding the stencil elements, allowing the individual design pieces to be removed from the vinyl sheet.
Use the surrounding vinyl stencil and airbrush into the exposed areas where the design was removed to paint the chevron pattern directly onto your model.
Alternatively, the removed vinyl design pieces can be applied to the surface as masks. Airbrushing around them creates a reverse or negative-mask effect, providing additional options for custom markings, gradients, weathering, and layered paint schemes.
Reusability & Handling
These stencils have some reusability depending on how they are handled. The vinyl material is thick enough to allow careful application and removal a few times before the adhesive begins to lose its effectiveness.
For the best results and longest usable life, carefully remove the vinyl after painting and keep the adhesive surface as clean as possible between applications.
