This is 1 sheet of LBMS Late Roman Shield Design 4. The sheet includes 12 shield transfers designed to go with the Victrix Late Roman Infantry. These transfers represent the Cornuti Seniores, an elite Auxilium Palatinum unit recruited from Rome's Gallic provinces with a fearsome battlefield reputation.

Cornuti Seniores. Auxilium Palatinum. These were recruited from Rome's Gallic provinces. They had a fearsome reputation and fought well against the Alemanni at the battle of Argentoratum, holding the enemy cavalry until the Roman cavalry could return to drive them away. They were known to perform the Barritus, a shout combined with a war dance often used by the Germanic tribes and said to instil fear in the enemy.
