Vallejo Pigments Natural Umber Pigment – VAL73109
Vallejo Natural Umber Pigment is a deep, earthy brown ideal for replicating rich soil, heavy dirt deposits, aged wood, oil stains, and natural weathering across vehicles, fortifications, bases, and dioramas. This pigment is made from finely micronized earth and iron oxide powders, ensuring excellent dispersion and authentic coloration suited to a wide range of environmental effects.
Applied dry, Natural Umber provides realistic soil and dust tones, subtle shading, and textural variation. When fixed with Matte Medium, the pigment becomes a permanent part of the model’s finish. Glaze Medium extends working time, allowing for smooth blending, natural run-offs, streaks, and built-up deposits around recesses, treads, and worn surfaces.
Natural Umber also combines effectively with Vallejo’s Water & Stone range. Transparent Water can be used to simulate damp earth, grease stains, or oil-darkened patches, while Sandy Paste builds layered, rough textures ideal for thick mud, coarse soil, or weathered terrain. All pigments are non-toxic and packaged in 30 ml pots with childproof tops, with weight varying between 17–39 grams depending on pigment density.
