Vallejo Light Yellow Ochre Pigment is part of a finely processed range of natural earth and iron oxide powders specially selected for realistic terrain and weathering effects. This warm, pale ochre tone is perfect for recreating dry soil, dusty road surfaces, sunlit earth, and natural sediment across dioramas, scenic bases, and military vehicle finishes.
Micronized for smooth dispersion, the pigment blends easily into water, acrylic mediums, or turpentine. Applied dry, it provides soft dusting effects and subtle shifts in tone that help bring depth and realism to surfaces. When fixed with Matte Medium, it becomes a permanent part of the model. Using Glaze Medium allows extended blending time to create run-offs, transitions, and environmental weathering around panel lines, treads, and textured ground.
Light Yellow Ochre also pairs well with Vallejo’s Water & Stone series. Transparent Water helps simulate wet patches, staining, and light grime, while Sandy Paste provides the texture needed for heavy earth buildup, dried mud, and rough terrain surfaces. All pigments in this line are non-toxic and supplied in 30 ml pots with childproof caps, with weight varying from 17–39 grams based on pigment density.
