These pigments disperse effortlessly in water, acrylic mediums, or turpentine, making them ideal for enhancing dioramas, scale models, and weathered surfaces with realistic depth.
Dark Slate Grey is perfect for creating stone textures, industrial grime, worn metal tones, ash deposits, and subtle shading on vehicles, bases, and scenery. The pigment can be applied dry for quick dusting effects or fixed using Matte Medium for lasting finishes. When extended with Glaze Medium, it allows more time for blending and achieving natural runoff patterns, soot streaks, or atmospheric shading around raised details.
For even more advanced techniques, this pigment can be combined with Vallejo’s Water & Stone products. Transparent Water enables glossy stains and oil-like effects, while Sandy Paste builds rough, textured deposits such as dried mud, heavy dust, or corroded surfaces. All pigments in this range are non-toxic and packaged in 30 ml child-safe pots, with weight varying from 17–39 grams depending on the pigment’s density.
