TYRANID GARGOYLES

Tyranid Gargoyles are a flying bioform utilized by the Tyranid Hive Fleets in Warhammer 40,000. Here's an overview:

Role and Function: Gargoyles serve as fast-moving airborne assault units within Tyranid swarms. They are deployed to provide aerial support, reconnaissance, and to engage enemy forces from unexpected angles.

Physical Description: Gargoyles are small, winged creatures with reptilian features, resembling a cross between a bat and a lizard. They possess leathery wings that allow them to fly swiftly through the air, as well as sharp talons and teeth for attacking enemy targets.

Mobility and Flight: One of the primary advantages of Gargoyles is their ability to fly. They can soar above the battlefield, swooping down on enemy forces to launch aerial assaults or provide reconnaissance for the Tyranid swarm.

Close Combat Abilities: While Gargoyles are not as heavily armed or armored as some other Tyranid bioforms, they are still formidable opponents in close combat. Their razor-sharp talons and teeth can tear through lightly armored infantry with ease, making them a deadly threat to enemy troops.

Tactical Deployment: Gargoyles are often deployed in large swarms, soaring through the skies to support the advance of the Tyranid swarm. They excel at flanking enemy positions, harassing enemy units, and providing aerial support for ground-based Tyranid forces.

Integration with Tyranid Forces: Gargoyles coordinate their attacks with other Tyranid organisms, using their speed and agility to complement the advances of ground-based Tyranid units. They work in tandem with other Tyranid bioforms, such as Hormagaunts and Genestealers, to overwhelm enemy forces from multiple directions.

Scouting and Reconnaissance: Gargoyles are often used for scouting and reconnaissance missions, using their aerial mobility to scout enemy positions and gather intelligence on enemy movements. They provide valuable information to the Tyranid swarm, allowing them to plan their attacks more effectively.

Infamy and Terror: The appearance of a swarm of Gargoyles on the battlefield is often a terrifying sight, signaling the arrival of fast-moving aerial assault units within the Tyranid swarm. Their ability to strike swiftly and from unexpected angles makes them a feared opponent among enemy forces.

This box set contains 10 multi-part plastic Tyranid Gargoyles. Models supplied with small flying bases.
