About the Unit:
Introduced in the 1970s, the Milan (Missile d’Infanterie Léger Antichar) was a wire-guided missile system developed jointly by France and West Germany. It could be deployed quickly, had excellent accuracy, and was capable of penetrating the armour of contemporary Soviet tanks. In French service, Milan teams operated at platoon and company level to provide integral anti-armour defense.
