PLASTIC SOLDIER SEXTON SELF-PROPELLED GUN
The Sexton was a Canadian-built self-propelled gun widely used by British and Commonwealth forces during the Second World War. Developed as a reliable successor to the Bishop, the Sexton combined British artillery firepower with the proven American M3-based chassis, resulting in a highly mobile and dependable SPG that saw extensive service from Italy to Northwest Europe.
Powered by a 400 HP Continental engine and armed with the iconic British 25-pounder gun-howitzer, the Sexton delivered accurate and flexible fire support. Crews valued its strong mobility, good top speed, and improved design over earlier vehicles. With more than 2,100 produced between 1943 and 1945, the Sexton became a mainstay of British, Canadian, and Polish forces fighting in the West.
