ORKS PAIN BOY

A Painboy is essentially an Ork "doctor," but their methods of medicine are crude, brutal, and often more focused on inflicting pain than healing. They are a bizarre combination of battlefield medic, surgeon, and mad scientist, wielding a mix of scavenged medical equipment and crude surgical tools.

Role: Painboys play a crucial role in Ork society by patching up injured Orks on the battlefield, but their methods are far from conventional. Rather than sterile environments and careful procedures, Painboys prefer to stitch up wounds with rusty wire, administer "medicine" that's often more toxic than curative, and generally revel in the pain and suffering of their patients.

Abilities:

• Medical Skills: Despite their unorthodox methods, Painboys possess a deep understanding of Ork physiology and are surprisingly skilled at keeping their fellow greenskins alive. They can patch up wounds, reattach severed limbs, and even perform crude cybernetic enhancements on their patients.
• Pain is Gain: Painboys believe that pain makes Orks stronger, so they often inflict as much pain as possible during treatment, whether the patient likes it or not. They see scars and injuries as badges of honor, proof of an Ork's toughness and resilience.
• Augmentations: Painboys are known to graft all sorts of gruesome enhancements onto their patients, from crude bionics to experimental gene-spliced mutations. These augmentations can make Orks even more deadly in battle, though they also tend to have... unpredictable side effects.

Orkish Kultur: The Painboy embodies many aspects of Ork kultur, from their fascination with violence and pain to their disregard for traditional medical practices. To Orks, Painboys are revered figures, equal parts doctor and torture artist, whose ministrations are both feared and respected.

In Battle: In battle, Painboys are often found alongside Ork mobs, patching up wounded warriors between bouts of fighting. They can provide a much-needed morale boost to nearby units, as Orks are more likely to keep fighting if they know a Painboy is nearby to patch them up if they get hurt.

Overall, the Painboy is a grim and brutal figure in the Ork hierarchy, embodying the greenskins' love for violence and their instinctual approach to medicine.
