Warmachine: Dusk Fane of Nyrro – Executioner's Toll

Begin your descent into the Fane of Nyrro with Warmachine: Dusk Fane of Nyrro – Executioner's Toll, a melee-focused strike force led by the deadly Hysene, the Executioner.

Once the Fane of Nyrro's brutal head executioner, Hysene has spent centuries perfecting her lethal skills with a blade. Accompanied by an honor guard of Fane Knights and backed by terrifying warbeasts and eldritch warriors, she leads a force built to close with the enemy and destroy them in vicious close combat.

Executioner's Toll is designed as an excellent entry point to the Fane of Nyrro, providing a complete force for command-level Warmachine games while also establishing a strong foundation for expanding into a larger Dusk army.

Hysene, the Executioner

At the center of the force stands Hysene, the Executioner, a deadly eldritch Warlock whose mastery of the blade has been refined over centuries.

For generations, Hysene served as the Fane of Nyrro's head executioner.

She is a martial paragon whose appetite for battle remains unmatched, with every grisly kill feeding additional strength into her blade.

Hysene provides a suitably aggressive commander for a force built around closing the distance and overwhelming enemies in melee.

Sybaris

Sybaris joins the force as a Character Warbeast.

As a unique creature, Sybaris provides Hysene with a powerful battlefield companion and gives the Executioner's Toll an imposing Warbeast centerpiece.

Pairing a dedicated melee Warlock with a Character Warbeast provides the force with a strong foundation around which the rest of the army can operate.

Strygon Rider

The Strygon Rider provides the force with a specialized Solo.

Drawing on the airborne predator theme of the Fane's Strygon warbeasts, the Rider adds another distinctive model and tactical element to the army.

Its inclusion helps diversify a force otherwise heavily focused around Hysene and her Fane Knight honor guard.

Fane Knights

The Fane Knights form the main unit included in Executioner's Toll.

Serving as Hysene's honor guard, these warriors accompany the former executioner into battle and reinforce the set's strong close-combat focus.

Use them as the martial core of your strike force as Hysene drives her warriors toward the enemy.

Sythyss Prophet

The set also includes a Sythyss Prophet Unit Attachment.

The Prophet joins an appropriate unit and adds another eldritch presence to the force, expanding the options available to your Fane warriors.

Built for Melee

Executioner's Toll is centered around melee combatants.

Rather than avoiding the enemy or relying entirely on ranged attacks, this force is designed to bring Hysene and her warriors directly into close combat.

It's an excellent choice for players who enjoy:

  • Aggressive battlefield strategies

  • Powerful melee units

  • Elite warriors

  • Warbeasts

  • Close-range engagements

  • Character-driven armies

  • Dark eldritch themes

An Entry Point to Fane of Nyrro

The set is specifically designed as an accessible way to begin collecting the Fane of Nyrro.

It provides a varied selection of models covering several important army roles:

  • Warlock

  • Character Warbeast

  • Solo

  • Unit

  • Unit Attachment

This gives new players a cohesive starting force rather than requiring them to select every model individually.

Ready for Command-Level Games

Executioner's Toll provides a force suitable for command-level Warmachine games.

This makes it a convenient option for learning how the Fane of Nyrro plays before expanding into larger battles.

As your collection grows, add additional:

  • Warbeasts

  • Units

  • Solos

  • Support models

  • Fane of Nyrro expansions

to develop the force into a larger army.

Excellent Painting Project

The combination of eldritch warriors, armored knights, and monstrous Warbeasts provides a varied hobby project.

Experiment with:

  • Dark armor

  • Metallics

  • Eldritch skin

  • Cloth

  • Blades

  • Arcane effects

  • Warbeast flesh

  • Magical glow

  • Battle damage

  • Atmospheric basing

The distinct models also provide plenty of opportunities to make Hysene and Sybaris stand out as the centerpieces of the force.
