Flames of War Late War Tournament

Roll out your armour and take command on the battlefields of World War II. This one-day Flames of War Late War event is designed as a relaxed, welcoming tournament for both returning commanders and new players. Whether it’s your first event in years or your first Flames of War tournament ever, this day is about learning the game, meeting the community, and rolling some dice.

Date: Saturday, June 6th, 2026
Location: 162 Parkdale Ave. N, Hamilton, Ontario
Rounds: 3
Round Time: 2 hours (friendly but firm)
Total Event Time: 10:00 AM – 6:30 PM
Lunch: 30-minute pizza lunch included with ticket
Entry Fee: $25
Registration Platform: Best Coast Pairings (BCP)
Registration Opens: 10:00 AM

🔧 Army Construction Rules

Armies must be built using the Flames of War Late War rules at 100 points and follow the current Flames of War publications.

Period and Forces:
Late War forces only. All players must select a single nation and formation appropriate to the Late War period.

Unit Restrictions:
No mixing periods or forces from outside Late War.
Legend or experimental units are not permitted.

Modeling and Proxies:
All models must be assembled.
Fully painted armies are encouraged but not required.
Reasonable proxies are allowed, especially for newer players. If in doubt, check with the TO before the event.

🎯 Missions and Terrain

Each round will use a pre-selected Late War mission with consistent terrain layouts across all tables.

Missions and terrain are chosen to support balanced gameplay and to keep games moving smoothly for newer players.

The mission list will be available at check-in, and a brief overview will be given before each round.

🏆 Scoring, Prizing, and Awards

This event uses a simple, beginner-friendly scoring system:

Win: 6 Tournament Points
Draw: 3 Tournament Points
Loss: 1 Tournament Point

Final standings will be determined by total tournament points.

Awards will be presented for:

1st Place
2nd Place
3rd Place
Best Painted Force

Best Painted Force will be selected by the Tournament Organizer and is intended to celebrate effort and theme rather than professional-level painting.

Additional door prizes or random giveaways may be available depending on attendance.

📋 Event Conduct and Expectations

This event is intentionally casual and welcoming. Players are encouraged to help one another with rules, ask questions, and enjoy the game.

Players should bring their rulebooks, unit cards, dice, and any materials needed to play their force.

Games are expected to progress at a reasonable pace. Friendly reminders may be given to help keep rounds on schedule.

The Tournament Organizer’s rulings are final, with the goal of keeping games fun, fair, and moving.
