Bandai's Shortcut Change system uses interchangeable components to simplify the transformation process while preserving accurate proportions and strong articulation. Switch between Fighter, Gerwalk, and Battroid modes to recreate aerial combat, ground-skimming maneuvers, and humanoid battle poses from the anime.

Advanced insert molding provides impressive color separation straight from the runners, minimizing the need for painting while maintaining the VF-31E's detailed appearance. Specialized equipment unique to Chuck Mustang's machine includes the distinctive radome and arm-mounted minigun pods, which can be displayed in either stowed or deployed configurations.
