The RX-75 Guntank is one of the Earth Federation’s earliest mobile suits, combining tank-like firepower with humanoid upper-body mechanics. First seen in Mobile Suit Gundam (0079), it forms part of the original White Base trio alongside the RX-78-2 and Guncannon. This HGUC 1/144 model kit faithfully captures its retro design and battlefield utility.

Kit Features & Gimmicks

Articulation

  • Due to the rotating articulation being hindered by the cannon panels, the head can only pivot on a ball-joint neck.
  • The arms can..
    • Swing on a rod joint.
    • Raise horizontally.
  • The upper elbows can rotate.
  • The elbow joints can only bend up to 80 degrees.
  • Bop Missile Launchers can rotate.
  • Though hindered by the panels, the waist can rotate 360 degrees if the torso is slightly lifted up.
  • Cannons can pivot up and down.

Tips & Tricks

  • For better results, some details are needed to be applied with Gundam Markers or Mr. Color paints.
  • Topcoat (Mr. Hobby recommended) can be used to protect applied stickers and if any, marking decals and painted details.
    • If using matte/flat-finish top coat, it is advisable not to spray on the clear/translucent and softer parts - can be done by masking or spraying top coat while the said parts are separated.
