Green Stuff World UV Resin 30ml - Toxic Effect New
Product Info
GSW Ultraviolet Resin is a one-step, crystal-clear gel designed to create realistic water effects for dioramas, terrain, and miniature bases. Produced by Green Stuff World, this UV-curing resin is applied directly from the bottle and hardens quickly under ultraviolet or natural light. It is an easy, modern alternative to traditional water-effect products, offering speed, clarity, and control.
Background
Water effects are a key element in bringing scenic bases and dioramas to life, from calm lakes and rivers to toxic swamps and alien pools. Traditional resin pours often involve long curing times, shrinkage, and strong fumes. UV resin technology solves many of these issues, allowing hobbyists to build water effects quickly and safely with predictable results.
What’s Included
This product contains one 30ml bottle of ultraviolet-curing resin gel suitable for creating water effects such as seas, rivers, ponds, puddles, and submerged details.
About the Model / Components
The resin is applied as a gel and remains workable indefinitely until exposed to UV light or natural sunlight. Under a UV torch, curing takes approximately 2–4 minutes. In direct sunlight, curing typically takes 5–10 minutes, and 20–40 minutes on cloudy days. The resin does not shrink during curing and is ideal for multi-layer applications, allowing objects to be embedded without visible layer lines. Once cured, it can be cut, polished, carved, and further worked. The resin can be dyed using Intensity or DYE inks, with Candy inks applied only after full curing. It has low odor and reduced toxicity compared to traditional resin products. Proper storage away from light is required to prevent premature curing.
Why This Product Is a Great Choice
This UV resin is an excellent choice for hobbyists who want fast, reliable, and highly realistic water effects without long curing times or shrinkage. Its clarity, flexibility, and ease of use make it ideal for both beginners and experienced modelers working on terrain, dioramas, or detailed miniature bases.
