A Genestealer Cult is an alien-worshipping secret society made up of and controlled by Tyranid Genestealers that thrive in the dark corners of the Imperial underworld across the galaxy. Secretive, stealthy, hidden and growing unseen.

Genestealer Cult wants to hit the enemy and clear them out before they have a chance to respond. They don’t have much endurance but they can swing really hard with some of the strongest melee combos and psychic powers in the game. The cult is a very complicated, combo centric, positioning-focused army. You have to really think about your deployment, actions, and have a plan in mind at the start of every turn.

The best way to start a Genestealer army would probably be the Warhammer START COLLECTING! GENESTEALER CULTS box set, which even includes a vehicle model.

In the lore there are many named cultists, but not many named character models. Still, there is Magus, Biophagus, Kellermorph & Clamavus models available, each serving their role within the cult.

If you are seeking a competitive army, then the answer depends on the meta at the time, as every army has its ups and downs in the competitive community. Casual players should not worry about good/bad as it's all about fun.

Typically a pale pallid grey skin tone, as well as purple / pink-ish alien fleshtones. Armor colours can vary but grey / metal tones can come in handy.
