Flames of War Soviet T-70 Tank Company
The T-70 light tank was introduced in 1942 to replace earlier Soviet light tanks like the T-60. Designed as a reconnaissance and infantry support vehicle, it mounted a 45mm gun in a small turret and offered decent mobility and protection for its size. Though outclassed by heavier German armor, the T-70 was still produced in large numbers and served on the Eastern Front through 1943. It proved effective against lighter vehicles and infantry, while freeing the Red Army’s medium T-34s for heavier combat.
