about the vehicle
The Panzerjäger I was Germany’s first dedicated tank destroyer, created by mounting a Czech 47mm anti-tank gun onto the chassis of the Panzer I. While lightly armored, the vehicle offered increased mobility and improved firepower compared to towed anti-tank guns.
These vehicles served in campaigns across Europe and North Africa, where they were used to ambush enemy armor and reinforce advancing German formations.
