As Allied air superiority increased, especially from 1943 onward, the Wehrmacht adapted by mounting anti-aircraft guns such as the 2cm FlaK38 and 3.7cm FlaK43 on armoured half-tracks like the Sd.Kfz. 7/1 and Sd.Kfz. 251/21. These mobile platforms allowed German forces to protect columns and strategic positions while maintaining maneuverability on the battlefield. Though primarily intended to counter low-flying aircraft, these weapons also proved effective against infantry and lightly armoured vehicles, making them versatile assets on both the Eastern and Western fronts.
