Dark Angels - New

The Dark Angels are considered amongst the most powerful and secretive of the Loyalist Space Marine Chapters. They were the Ist Legion of the original 20 Space Marine Legions to be created during the First Founding of the 30th Millennium. Though they claim complete allegiance and service to the Emperor of Mankind, their actions and secret goals at times seem at odds with that professed loyalty, as the Dark Angels strive above all other things to atone for an ancient crime of betrayal committed over 10,000 standard years ago against the trust of the Emperor during the time of the Horus Heresy. The Dark Angels stand first amongst the Space Marine Chapters, as they have done since their very inception as the Ist Legion. They are a proud Chapter, with traditions and rituals that date back to the earliest days of the Imperium of Man.

The Dark Angels are often thought of as three armies in one, as they have a core of regular Space Marines, surrounded by fast-moving Ravenwing units, and ultra-resilient Terminator Deathwing units. The Dark Angels bring everything we should expect from a Space Marine chapter, while showing a stoic knight attitude. They also have special units and formations, totally unique to their chapter. Dark angels have an overall balanced playstyle in terms of melee and ranged, though leaning a bit towards ranged. If you like having a sturdy gunline that is supported by quite powerful melee, you'll like playing Dark Angels

Supreme Grand Master Azrael - Azrael is the current, and some would say greatest, Supreme Grand Master of the Dark Angels Chapter. Grand Master of Librarians Ezekiel, Sapphon, and Belial are also popular Dark Angels.

Dark Angels are among the strongest chapters of space marines competitively, and while they aren't a top-tier army, they frequently do well in tournaments

The army consists of three fractions that all have their individual trademark colour – dark green for your regular Marines, bone for the Deathwing and black for the Ravenwing.
