Chaos Space Marines - New

In the table-top wargame Warhammer 40,000, the Chaos Space Marines or Chaos Marines, are Space Marines who serve the Chaos Gods. They are also referred to as the Traitor Legions, primarily in background material written from the perspective of the Imperium. They have chosen to abandon the service of the Emperor of Mankind and dedicate themselves to Chaos to achieve their own goals.

They have a very different feel and play style to standard Space Marines, they are much more aggressive & melee-focused. Chaos Space Marines are usually effective mid to short ranged, though they also have some capable long ranged units as well.

The Current codex is CODEX CHAOS SPACE MARINES. The book has rules for 8 Chaos Legions – Alpha Legion, Black Legion, Creations of Bile, Emperor’s Children, Iron Warriors, Night Lords, and Word Bearers. Combat Patrol: Chaos Space Marines is probably the best modern starter kit for this army.

Khârn, Typhus, Ahriman, Lucius, Fabious Bile and Abaddon are some popular Chaos Space Marines.

As a faction, Chaos Space Marines have access to some of the best melee units in the game, including Possessed, Chosen, Lords Discordant, and Berserkers, as well as some solid psychic powers. They usually lack some of the long-ranged shooting options of other factions but make up for that with the ability to hit hard quickly.

It does look like most Chaos Marine color scheme revolve around Black, Gold, and Red. However there are different colour schemes for different legions as well as custom colour schemes.
