Bolt Action Soviet T70 Light Tank

The T-70 was a Soviet light tank introduced in 1942 to replace the earlier T-60. Armed with a 45mm gun and a coaxial machine gun, it provided the Red Army with a balance of mobility and firepower at a time when heavier tanks like the T-34 were in short supply. Though lightly armoured and eventually outclassed by German weapons, the T-70 played an important role in reconnaissance, infantry support, and filling the gaps on the Eastern Front during some of the war’s hardest-fought battles.

Product Info:
This kit builds the Soviet T-70 Light Tank, a fast and versatile vehicle for Bolt Action armies. It’s an excellent choice for players who want to add historical depth and mobile support to their Red Army forces.

Features:

  • 1/56 (28mm) scale resin and metal kit for Bolt Action WWII gaming.

  • Armed with a 45mm gun and coaxial MG for light anti-tank and infantry roles.

  • Fast and maneuverable, ideal for scouting and flanking manoeuvres.

  • Historically accurate model used extensively on the Eastern Front.

About the Vehicle:
The T-70 was produced in large numbers between 1942 and 1943, with over 8,000 built. While vulnerable against heavier German armour, it excelled in reconnaissance and support missions. Its 45mm gun was sufficient against early- to mid-war Axis vehicles, and its small size made it easier to conceal in ambush positions. Eventually replaced by lend-lease tanks and the versatile SU-76M, the T-70 remained in service until the end of the war, even participating in the Battle of Berlin.

About the Model:
This kit is supplied unassembled and unpainted. It contains high-quality resin and metal parts, requiring super glue for assembly. Painting is recommended for best tabletop results.
