Bolt Action Soviet FAI light Armoured Car

The FAI was one of the Soviet Union’s earliest armored car designs, developed in the early 1930s on the chassis of the Ford-A and later GAZ-A passenger cars. Lightly armed and lightly armored, the FAI was intended for reconnaissance, security, and support roles rather than frontline combat. Though obsolete by the outbreak of World War II, it still saw service in the Winter War and during the early stages of Operation Barbarossa, often pressed into desperate defensive actions.

Product Info
This kit represents the Soviet FAI Light Armoured Car for Bolt Action. Small, fast, and affordable, it makes a characterful addition to early war Soviet armies, especially for players recreating conflicts of the 1930s or the first months of the German invasion.

About the Vehicle
The FAI was armed with a single 7.62mm DT machine gun and offered thin armor that could deflect small arms fire but was vulnerable to heavier weapons. Despite its limitations, the FAI’s simplicity and ease of production ensured it was built in significant numbers before being replaced by the more advanced BA series of armored cars. By 1941, many FAIs were still in use with second-line units, training schools, or militia formations.

About the Model
The Bolt Action miniature captures the compact and rounded design of the FAI, making it stand out among other interwar armored vehicles. Supplied in resin and metal (depending on the production run), the kit requires assembly and painting. Perfect for collectors and gamers seeking to represent the transitional period of Soviet armored development.

Contains one resin and metal field car.

Note: This product is supplied unassembled and unpainted. Glue and paints not included.
