Bolt Action Soviet BT-7A self-propelled gun
The BT-7A was a Soviet cavalry tank variant modified to carry a short-barrel 76.2mm howitzer, providing much-needed mobile fire support to fast-moving units. Designed in the late 1930s, it combined the speed of the BT tank series with the heavier punch of artillery, making it a versatile weapon during the early stages of World War II. Though lightly armored, the BT-7A proved valuable in delivering high-explosive firepower where it was needed most.

The BT-7A replaced the standard 45mm gun with a short 76.2mm howitzer, enabling it to deliver effective high-explosive shells against infantry and light fortifications. While overshadowed by the arrival of the T-34, the BT-7A played an important role in Soviet mechanized units during the early years of the conflict.
