Bang! The Duel is a tense, fast-paced two-player version of the classic Bang! card game, designed specifically for head-to-head showdowns. It captures the bluffing and “take that” action of the original game while tailoring the experience for a focused duel between two rivals of the Old West.
In Bang! The Duel, each player builds a personal deck of characters before the game begins. One player controls the Law, while the other commands the Outlaws. The number of characters each player chooses determines the length of the game, allowing for quick skirmishes or longer, more strategic battles. At the start, each player has two characters in play, positioned one in front of the other, creating tactical decisions around protection and targeting.
Each side also has its own unique action deck. The Lawful player’s deck focuses on card draw and steady advantages, while the Outlaw player’s deck leans into dirty tricks, disruption, and sudden reversals. On their turn, players use action cards to attack, defend, and outmaneuver their opponent, aiming to eliminate enemy characters.
As characters are defeated, new ones step into the fight from each player’s deck, keeping the pressure constant and the battlefield shifting. The duel continues until one player has eliminated all of their opponent’s characters, claiming victory in a dramatic final showdown.
