FULGRIM: THE PERFECT SON (PB)
A Warhammer 40,000 Novel
Perfection, as it turns out, is hard to maintain when your Legion has spent ten thousand years tearing itself apart. The Emperor’s Children have been scattered, debased, and denied everything they believe they are owed. Fulgrim has decided this state of affairs is unacceptable, and when a daemon-primarch takes an interest again, things rarely improve for anyone involved.
Product Info
This paperback novel is set in the universe of Warhammer 40,000 and focuses on the fractured legacy of the Emperor’s Children Legion. Written by Jude Reid, it explores the internal rot, rivalries, and brutal ambition that define Fulgrim’s sons in the current age.
About the Story
Fulgrim, ascended Primarch of the III Legion and self-proclaimed paragon of perfection, issues a challenge to his scattered followers. They are to conquer the Imperial world of Crucible and present him with the severed head of the Black Templar defending it. Simple orders, at least by Fulgrim’s standards.
The campaign quickly devolves into a prolonged and punishing siege, as rival warbands clash not only with Imperial defenders but with one another. Arrogance, jealousy, and divergent visions of perfection fracture the assault from within. As the world burns and victory slips further from reach, Fulgrim’s champions are forced to confront an uncomfortable question: what are they willing to sacrifice for glory, and will there be anything left of them once Fulgrim’s favour is earned?
Why Read This Book
This novel offers a sharp look at the Emperor’s Children when unity is a distant memory and loyalty is a currency constantly devalued. It’s ideal for readers who enjoy Chaos-focused stories steeped in betrayal, obsession, and the slow collapse of discipline under impossible expectations. Fulgrim looms over every page, a reminder that pleasing a god of excess comes at a very personal cost.
