MECHANICUM: SKITARII BATTLE GROUP
The nomadic Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms do not gather for comfort, glory, or advancement. They exist to march, to fight, and to guard the sacred domains of the Omnissiah. Bound together in roaming conclaves, these cybernetic warriors endure endless pilgrimage and war, driven by a single purpose: to secure lost and forbidden technology before it can fall into unworthy hands. Civil life, ambition, and hierarchy are irrelevant distractions to minds sharpened for duty alone.
If your ambition is to prosecute the Great Crusade in the Omnissiah’s name, this boxed set is a brutally efficient way to begin or expand a Mechanicum force for Warhammer: The Horus Heresy. Designed around a fast-moving, hard-hitting core of Skitarii Battle-Pilgryms armed with voltlock arquebuses and enhanced by extended leg augmetics, the Battle Group delivers speed, firepower, and ruthless battlefield control. Command comes from a veteran Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Marshal equipped with specialist wargear, while an airborne Skitarii Vultarax Stratos-Automata provides lethal aerial support. As a bonus for the impatient, this is the first opportunity to acquire these new miniatures.
The set builds eighteen multipart plastic Mechanicum miniatures, consisting of a single Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Marshal, one Vultarax Stratos-Automata, and sixteen Skitarii Battle-Pilgrym Corpus troops. Each element offers meaningful customization. The Marshal can be assembled with a choice of three heads and armed with either a voltlock handgun or an archeotech pistol, paired with a phase claw, corpusant stave, or auctorit sceptre. The Vultarax features two tendrils, each with three mounting slots, allowing you to select from multiple shared dendrite talon designs. Within the Corpus ranks, up to two models can be built as squad leaders, and every Battle-Pilgrym offers a choice between helmeted or bare heads.
Included is a Mechanicum Macro Constructs Transfer Sheet containing 394 high-quality waterslide transfers. These cover a wide range of Mechanicum iconography, including Opus Machina, Opus Taghmata, Iungum Cybernetica, Covenant Cybernetica, and Fracta Aedificium, along with additional cogs, markings, and line details to finish your force properly.
The kit consists of 313 plastic components and is supplied with one Citadel 32mm Round Base, one Citadel 100mm Round Base, twenty Citadel 28.5mm Round Bases, and a Citadel 115mm Ball Stem Adaptor. Miniatures are supplied unassembled and unpainted; Citadel Plastic Glue and Citadel Colour paints are recommended.
Rules for fielding these miniatures can be found in Journal Tactica – Skitarii: The Steel Hand of Mars, available separately. These models will be released individually at a later date, but this boxed set is only available while stocks last.
