CUSTODES: CORONUS GRAV-CARRIER

Transport the Emperor's elite warriors into battle with the Coronus Grav-Carrier, an advanced Custodes transport combining exceptional speed, protection, and supporting firepower.

This multipart plastic kit builds 1 Coronus Grav-Carrier for Legio Custodes armies in Warhammer: The Horus Heresy and Adeptus Custodes armies in Warhammer 40,000. Its sophisticated antigrav technology allows the vehicle to rapidly deploy and redeploy Custodian warriors while avoiding many of the limitations faced by conventional Imperial armored transports.

The Coronus Grav-Carrier

The Coronus Grav-Carrier provides the Custodes with a combination of transportation, speed, protection, and firepower that conventional Imperial troop carriers struggle to match.

Its antigrav systems allow it to rapidly move elite warriors across the battlefield while reducing the risk of troops becoming trapped by hostile forces or difficult terrain.

This makes the Coronus a natural centerpiece for a fast-moving Custodes assault force.

Advanced Protection & Fire Support

The Coronus is designed to deliver valuable Custodian warriors through dangerous battlefield conditions.

Once its passengers have disembarked, however, the vehicle's role is far from finished.

Its heavy weapons allow it to continue supporting the assault, engaging enemy units and helping protect the warriors it has transported.

Use the Coronus to:

  • Transport elite Custodes units

  • Rapidly redeploy warriors

  • Deliver troops to key objectives

  • Support assaults

  • Provide mobile firepower

  • Pressure enemy infantry

  • Engage armored threats

  • Reinforce critical areas of the battlefield

Twin Arachnus Blaze Cannon

The Coronus carries a turret-mounted Twin Arachnus Blaze Cannon as its primary weapon.

This formidable Custodes weapon allows the transport to contribute substantial firepower even after its passengers have reached their destination.

The turret also gives the Coronus a distinctive armored silhouette while emphasizing that this is far more than a simple troop carrier.

Twin Lastrum Bolt Cannon

The hull can be equipped with a Twin Lastrum Bolt Cannon.

This option provides additional firepower against enemy infantry, helping the Coronus clear threats from around objectives and landing areas.

Twin Neutronium Cascade Projectors

Alternatively, the vehicle can carry Twin Neutronium Cascade Projectors.

This configuration provides another option for dealing with concentrations of enemy troops and gives you additional flexibility when deciding how to arm the vehicle.

Advanced Antigrav Technology

Rather than relying on conventional tracks, the Coronus uses sophisticated antigrav technology.

This provides the mobility needed to transport Custodes quickly across hostile battlefields and gives the vehicle its distinctive hovering appearance.

The included Custodes Vehicle Flight Stem supports the finished model above the tabletop.

Rapid Assault Transport

The Coronus is particularly well suited to Custodes armies built around rapid and decisive assaults.

Pair it with elite infantry and use its mobility to place valuable warriors where they can have the greatest impact.

It can complement units such as:

  • Custodian Guard

  • Sentinel Guard

  • Aquilon Terminators

  • Custodes characters

  • Other compatible infantry

Once its passengers are deployed, the Coronus can continue fighting alongside them.

Warhammer 40,000 & Horus Heresy

The Coronus Grav-Carrier can be used across two Warhammer game systems.

Warhammer 40,000

Field the Coronus with your Adeptus Custodes, providing your shield company with a fast and heavily armed transport.

Warhammer: The Horus Heresy

Deploy it alongside the Legio Custodes during battles set in the Age of Darkness.

Its cross-game compatibility makes the kit particularly useful for collectors building Custodes forces for both settings.

Legio Custodes Vehicle Transfer Sheet

The kit includes a Legio Custodes Vehicle Transfer Sheet featuring 210 high-quality waterslide transfers.

These include:

  • Custodian symbols

  • Text

  • Names of important battle locations

  • Honor markings

  • Additional vehicle decorations

Use them to personalize the vehicle and represent its history of service alongside the Ten Thousand.

Excellent Painting Project

The Coronus is a large centerpiece vehicle with broad armor panels and ornate Custodes details.

Experiment with:

  • Auramite gold

  • Metallic shading

  • Rich red details

  • Weapon effects

  • Engine glow

  • Heat staining

  • Edge highlighting

  • Battle damage

  • Custodian heraldry

  • Scenic basing

Its large 170mm x 109mm oval base also provides substantial room for battlefield debris and other scenic details beneath the hovering vehicle.
