Tin of Ancient Battles

Tin of Ancient Battles

One of the most anticipated sets each year is Mega-Tins. These sets are annual reprint sets that generally introduce new world premiere cards and reprints some of the best cards over the past year. The purpose of this is to give the players more access to many of the desired expensive cards over the past year and also feature different cards in different rarities.

In today’s article, we are going to talk about the Tin of Ancient Battles Set of 2021. The Tin of Ancient Battles set TCG 2021 is right around the corner. Konami has begun to show off the set’s cards by letting specific content creators open a set they received. All European fans of Yu-Gi-Oh can enjoy Tin of Ancient Battles, while the release for North American fans will be on October 1.

Now, let’s see what you will get from the Tin of Ancient Battles set.

Review of Tin of Ancient Battles Set 2021

Yu-Gi-Oh fans can get it all in a nice little cozy golden tin, and thanks to Konami, many creators had the honor to reveal some of the cards inside the tin. You can expect from the set cards such as Deep Sea Artisan, Resonator Command, Salamangreat Zebroid X, Soldier Gaia the Fierce Knight, A.I. Love Fusion, Transcicada, The Phantom Knights of Stained Greaves, Drytron Delta Altais, Crossout Designator.

Before continuing with the other cards, we must mention that the Crossout Designator card is a big surprise for many Yu-Gi-Oh fans. The card is insane, and thanks to Konami, the set includes this card, and it may be the dragoon of 2021 mega tins.

The Crossout Designator allows you to declare one card name; banish one of that declared card from your main deck, and if you do, negate its effects, as well as the activated effects and effects on the field of cards with the same original name, until the end of the turn. You can only activate one Crossout Designator per turn. Now, let’s continue with the rest of the cards that Tin of Ancient Battles involve.

Yugioh Sword Master

The following cards are Ignister A.I. Land, and Uria, Lord of Searing Flames. Again, we will stop by Uria because it’s another insane and great card that we all didn’t expect. Many Yu-Gi-Oh fans freaked out when they saw this card, especially the content creators when they were opening the set for the first time.

Other interesting cards are Raider’s Wing, Melffy Playhouse, Awakening of the Possesed-Gagigobyte, Tri-Brigade Stand-Off, Dogmatika Encounter, and Charge Into a Dark World. All these cards are from the first pack that some creators opened and shared with their audience.

Another pack sent by Konami included Light Dragon @Ignister, Execution of the Contract, Squeaknight, Gaia the Magical Knight, Buzzsaw Shark, Ravenous Crocodragon Archetys, Traptrix Allomerus, Shiny Black “C” Squadder, Piercing the Darkness, Achichi @Ignister, Adamancipator Signs.

The Adamancipator Signs is another surprise in this fantastic set. The card also looks incredibly shiny. Also, there are Spiral Fusion, Adamancipator Laputite, Ret-time reviver Emiter-ter, Melffy Mommy, Infernity Doom Archfiend, Adamancipator Crystal-Raptite, and Fury of Kairyu-Shin.

Other essential cards confirmed through content creators’ openings are the following: Deep Sea Sentry, Link Party, Thunder Hand, A.I. Contact, Malice, Lady of Ament, Dragoon Lamp, Rain Bozu, Geonator Transverser, Magician’s Salvation, and El Shaddoll Construct. The creators’ reaction was insane when they saw the El Shaddoll card. It’s such a powerful card, with a splendid shiny design.

The Tin of Ancient Battles set involves three new world premiere cards: The True Light, Magician Salvation, and Shatter the Darkness. True Light is a continuous trap similar to Eternal Soul. It’s a great utility card and arguably better than Eternal Soul sins it sets any spell and trap that lists Blue eyes. Magician Salvation is a field spell that gives you another way to access Eternal Soul. It has a lot of synergy within the archetype and is great for generating advantage. Shatter the Darkness is also a great continuous spell that supports both Dark Magician and Blue Eyes. It’s a great tool for making your monster stronger during battle and harder to deal with.

The quality of world premiere cards from this year's mega-tins is a big improvement when compared with last years. The new support is all playable and does a lot for their respective archetypes. Though this alone won't make either top type tier, it’s at least a step in the right direction!

Although there were many card surprises, the Crossout Designator was the biggest. Many Yu-Gi-Oh fans didn’t expect such a powerful card in this Tin of Ancient Battles set.

Stay tuned for more surprises!
