Pokémon 30th Anniversary: A Collector’s Checklist for Celebration Products

Build your Pokémon 30th Celebration collection with two separate checklists: one for sealed products and their variants, and one for the exact cards and promos you want. Track Day and Night editions separately, distinguish standard from Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Boxes, and record Mini Tin artwork rather than simply counting tins.

You do not need every product to enjoy the anniversary. Decide whether you are collecting packaging, cards, accessories, or a combination before buying. This guide covers the product families below using Pokémon's official 30th Celebration product showcase, with individual product sources for important variations.

Scope and Release Dates

Dates below are published U.S. release dates, not confirmations of Canadian stock or delivery. A product appearing in this checklist does not mean it is currently available at Tistaminis. Check the specific listing when ordering. Future waves or additional variants may require updates; treat this as a scoped checklist, not a promise that no other anniversary merchandise exists.

Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box 11 Regular Nidorina plus a Pokémon Center-logo Nidorina.

The showcase is the primary contents reference for this table. Verify the language, edition, and complete contents before buying, especially when comparing products from different regions.

Release Calendar: Plan the Later Waves

Published U.S. date Products or wave

A published release date is a planning reference, not a live stock status. Keep a separate availability field in your checklist instead of assuming every released product can still be purchased.

Elite Trainer Boxes: Two Editions, Two Promo Entries

The standard ETB contains nine packs and a full-art Nidorina promo whose illustration features 30 Nidorina. It also includes sleeves, foil Basic Energy cards, dice, a coin, a guide, and storage.

The Pokémon Center ETB contains 11 packs and two Nidorina promos: one regular and one bearing the Pokémon Center logo.

Checklist rule: create separate rows for the sealed editions and for each promo variation. Buying both boxes can duplicate the regular Nidorina, so a promo-focused collector should compare acquiring the missing stamped card separately rather than automatically buying another sealed product.

For the standard edition listed at Tistaminis, see the 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box. This link is not a listing for the Pokémon Center edition.

Mini Tins: Count Designs, Not Just Tins

The official Mini Tin listing confirms ten designs. Groups of five form two connected scenes. Each tin includes two packs, a sticker sheet, and a matching art card.

Use a photo or a clear artwork description for each row. Track the tin, art card, and sticker sheet separately if your definition of complete includes all three. Ten purchased tins do not establish ten different designs.

Before ordering an assorted tin listing, establish whether you can select artwork or whether a design is supplied at random. Do not assume a multipack or display guarantees a complete artwork set unless the listing explicitly says so.

Day and Night Ultra-Premium Collections: What Changes?

The official Ultra-Premium Collection page identifies a Day version featuring Espeon ex and a Night version featuring Umbreon ex. Each also includes its corresponding Day- or Night-themed Pikachu ex promo illustrated by YOSHIROTTEN.

Both versions include 29 regular 30th Celebration boosters and one Classic Collection booster containing three Classic Collection cards. Record those as different pack types, not 30 interchangeable regular boosters.

Each includes a playmat, 65 sleeves, a deck box, a themed metal coin, and damage-counter dice. Track the themed accessories if your collection includes more than cards. Card-name overlap with another product does not prove identical artwork, numbering, or printing; compare exact card identifiers before marking anything as a duplicate.

Battle Decks: Do Not Treat Them as Pack Collections

The official Battle Deck listing describes two all-foil 60-card decks. Espeon ex is paired with an illustration rare-style Victini promo; Umbreon ex is paired with an illustration rare-style Zeraora promo. Each product also includes a deck box, playmat, and coin.

For sealed collecting, track each deck as a product. For card collecting, compare the actual deck lists and card identifiers. Do not assume a card is unique merely because it arrives in a different package.

Figure, Display, and Binder Collections

The Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections each contain the selected Pokémon as a foil promo, an oversized foil card, and a figure, plus five packs. Record standard and oversized cards separately; ordinary binder pockets will not fit every display item.

The Ditto Premium Collection combines a Ditto promo, acrylic card display, and eight packs. Choose it for those specified contents rather than assuming it includes an exclusive randomized pull.

The Binder Collection includes a commemorative nine-pocket binder and five packs. “Nine-pocket” describes the page layout, not the binder's total card capacity. Check the complete specifications before planning an entire collection around it.

Promo-Focused Shopping Without Buying Everything

The Sylveon ex Box and Greninja ex Box are relevant catalog starting points for collectors of those Pokémon. Check current availability and order terms on the individual pages.

If your goal is only the promo, compare the exact single card once available with the complete box. Buying singles gives certainty about the card received; opening more randomized packs does not. Conversely, if you collect sealed packaging, acquiring only the promo does not complete that product goal.

A Tracker You Can Copy Into a Spreadsheet

Use one row per exact product version or card variation. Keep sealed products and individual cards on separate sheets so one purchase does not accidentally mark several goals complete.

Field What to record
Product and version Full name, Day/Night or character variant, language, and edition.
Source and date Official product link, published regional release date, and date you checked it.
Collection status Wanted, ordered, received sealed, or opened. Do not mark an order as received.
Quantity and condition Copies owned, packaging condition, and any missing accessories.
Specified cards Promo name, exact card number, finish, stamp, and owned quantity.
Budget Target spend and actual total paid in CAD, including applicable tax and delivery.
Availability Current retailer status, kept separate from the published release date.

Define Your Card Collection Before Chasing It

Choose a scope: selected favourites, the numbered expansion checklist, the 30 Pikachu rare illustrations, a defined Classic Collection goal, or specified promos and variants. The official expansion page is a starting point for identifying cards rather than relying on retailer titles alone.

For each card, record its number, language, rarity, finish, artwork, condition, and any stamp. “Master set” is not a useful buying target until you define whether promos, oversized cards, alternate printings, and accessories are included.

Product pack counts do not establish pull rates or promise completion. A collection checklist should help you stop buying duplicates, not become a reason to buy indefinitely.

Our Recommendation

Start with your collecting scope, then buy only the missing product or card variation. Keep the standard and Pokémon Center ETBs distinct, identify all ten Mini Tin artworks, separate Day/Night promos, and track oversized cards and accessories only if they belong in your goal.

For catalog-backed shopping, compare the standard anniversary ETB, Sylveon ex Box, and Greninja ex Box. Verify current listing details before checkout. Choose sealed products for the contents and collecting experience you want, not an assumed future investment return.

Collector Checklist FAQs

Is this every Pokémon anniversary item?

No. It covers the listed 30th Celebration TCG product families, not every anniversary item across games, clothing, figures, regions, or later announcements.

How many Mini Tin designs are there?

The official listing confirms ten designs forming two connected scenes of five tins each. Track artwork to avoid duplicates.

What is the ETB edition difference?

The standard edition has nine packs and the regular Nidorina promo. The Pokémon Center edition has 11 packs, the regular promo, and an additional Pokémon Center-logo Nidorina.

Do both Ultra-Premium Collections have the same promos?

No. Day includes Espeon ex and its Day-themed Pikachu ex; Night includes Umbreon ex and its Night-themed Pikachu ex. Check exact card identifiers when comparing other products.

Does the Ultra-Premium Collection contain 30 regular packs?

No. It contains 29 regular 30th Celebration packs and one Classic Collection pack containing three Classic Collection cards.

Can I use the U.S. dates as Canadian delivery promises?

No. They are published regional release dates. Use the Canadian retailer's current listing and delivery information when planning an order.

Must I buy every sealed product to collect the promos?

No. Compare exact singles once available, especially when product purchases would duplicate cards you already own. Sealed packaging and promo-card collecting are separate goals.
