AdeptiCon 2026 Warhammer Reveals: 40K, Age of Sigmar & More | Tistaminis

AdeptiCon 2026 delivered one of the most exciting reveal slates in recent memory. Held from March 25–29, 2026 at the Baird Center in downtown Milwaukee, Wisconsin, the event saw Games Workshop drop a wave of announcements spanning Warhammer 40,000, Kill Team, Warhammer: Age of Sigmar, Warhammer Underworlds, The Horus Heresy, Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game, and more. Here's a full breakdown of everything revealed.

Warhammer 40,000: Armageddon Returns

The biggest 40K announcement of AdeptiCon 2026 is the next major expansion: Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick. The Orks are back in unfathomable numbers, and the planet's most legendary hero has returned from the brink of death to defend it.

New Models

  • Wazdakka Gutsmek: The legendary Ork Bikeboss finally gets his first-ever plastic miniature, astride his enormous warbike Big Revva, armed with a psyko-gatler.
  • Commissar Yarrick: The hero of Armageddon returns in a brand-new miniature, rallying Imperial forces against the Ork Speedwaaagh!.
  • Commissar Graves: A new Astra Militarum character who rides her personalised Centaur transport Vigilance with her retinue, The Right Hand. Includes mounted and on-foot versions.
  • Inquisitor Kroyle: An Ordo Xenos Inquisitor mounted on a six-legged Garralisk, armed with a Jindarii tox-cycler. Two head options for both Kroyle and his mount.
  • Intranzia Fraye, Dogmata Superior: A new Adepta Sororitas character riding her armoured walking platform the Throne of Blame, leading Mortifier engines into battle.

New Vehicles

  • Centaur RSV: A light, open-topped rapid strike transport ideal for the plains of Armageddon.
  • Hippogriff AFV: A six-wheeled fire support vehicle with a flexible turret — battle cannon, castigator gatling cannon, melta cannon, or lascannon.

Armageddon: The Return of Yarrick — Expansion Box

  • Main campaign book covering the story of Armageddon's latest war

Kill Team: Terror on Devlan

A new Kill Team expansion pits an elite team against a single massive creature across nine linked Joint Ops missions.

The Red Terror — First Plastic Kit

The iconic tunnelling Tyranid bioform is now in plastic for the first time ever. It can regenerate from consumed biomass, disappear beneath the killzone, and lurk unseen until it strikes.

Spectre Squad Kill Team

Elite Cadian veteran scouts with camouflage cloaks, starshell flares, autostubbers, plasma gun or meltagun, and a missile launcher for good measure.

Kill Team: Nemesis Operatives

A new book with flexible rules for fielding large creatures as Nemesis Operatives, compatible with any faction. Two Blackstone Fortress classics get standalone releases:

  • The Ambull — with its own mission pack and datacard.
  • The Archivist (the mysterious Zoat) — with a dedicated mission pack and datacard.

Warhammer Age of Sigmar: Cities of Sigmar

Cities of Sigmar received the biggest Age of Sigmar reveal of AdeptiCon 2026 — a massive wave of new models, a new Battletome, and multiple box sets.

New Models

  • Cannonade Cogfort & Conqueror Cogfort: Enormous walking fortresses from the Ironweld Arsenal. The Cannonade mounts a gigantic Godbreaker cannon; the Conqueror trades it for a Realmscorcher flame cannon and troop transport capacity. Available as a Regiment of Renown for any faction.
  • Erasmus Zonn, the Enlightened One: One of the youngest Archmages in White College history, riding a heliomorph named Glyphwing.
  • Collegiate Battlemages: Aqshian Pyrocasters (whose gaze is so hot they wear ensorcelled cloth over their eyes) and Amethyst Knellmages (who wear bell-shaped tollhelms drummed by clockwork skeletons to drown out the whispers of disembodied souls).
  • Gate Gargants: A pair of city-gargants forming a living gateway at the heart of Castelite formations, each accompanied by a Grenadier-Major in a watchtower armed with a Scattershot cannon.
  • Dawner's Triumph: A floating sacred monument that emboldens nearby soldiers to acts of zeal above their normal means.
  • Jorvan Kreel, Heir of the Kraken: A Ranger-Colonel and master duelist accompanied by his ash panther Thexa, seeking allies to retake his usurped home city of Anvilgard.
  • Mallus Forgepriest: A faith-powered warrior whose hymns consecrate the land and purge Chaos taint — and who hits things very hard with a meteoric warhammer.
  • Freeguild Gallants: Heavily armoured infantry who master the art of receiving charges, inspiring nearby Freeguild troops.
  • Freeguild Grenadiers: Elite soldiers armed with Ruin-sweeper blackpowder weapons and heavy bardiches, with one Cindergout carrying a flame projector.

New Box Sets

  • Battletome: Cities of Sigmar — New rules, lore, Path to Glory, The Iron March Army of Renown (field an entire Cogfort squadron!), and Regiment of Renown rules for outlaw Cogforts in any Grand Alliance.
  • Spearhead: Zenestra's Zealots — Pontifex Zenestra, a Freeguild Command Corps, a Freeguild Marshal with Relic Envoy, and 10 Steelhelms.
  • Spearhead: City of Ash — The next big Spearhead expansion; Jorvan Kreel, Mallus Forgepriest, Freeguild Gallants, and Freeguild Grenadiers available here first.
  • Regiment of Renown: Ven Denst's Hounds — Galen and Doralia Ven Denst lead Wildercorps Hunters on their quest to rid the Mortal Realms of rogue manifestations.

Warhammer Underworlds: Thyrielle's Zephyrites

A brand new Lumineth Realm-lords Mastery warband arrives in Embergard — Thyrielle's Zephyrites, masters of anemology from the Hurakan temples of Hysh. Four fighters plus a unique vulpine spirit token named Tzul whose board placement drives the entire playstyle. Friendly fighters in Tzul's windblown lines gain gravity-defying leaps and improved saves; enemies count as permanently Flanked. The warband Inspires on a successful attack.

The Horus Heresy: New Plastic Kits

Legiones Astartes and Solar Auxilia players both received significant reinforcements, with several resin classics making the jump to plastic.

Spartan Prometheus Assault Tank

A new variant of the iconic Spartan Assault Tank capable of carrying entire squads of power- or Terminator-armoured warriors. The Prometheus trades the standard lascannon arrays for either gravis heavy bolter arrays (anti-infantry) or laser destroyers (extreme tank-busting power). Available to both Loyalist and Traitor forces with a choice of pintle-mounted weapons and accessories.

Charonite Ogryn Section

Biochemically altered hulking warriors for the Solar Auxilia, squeezed into armoured void suits and pumped full of combat stimulants. They wield cybernetically implanted claws, blades, shredders, and crushers — designed to let regular humans go toe-to-toe with post-human Space Marines.

Rapier Fire Support Battery

Heavy weapons platforms delivering long-range firepower via quad launchers (“Thudd Gun” — frag or shatter shells) and mole mortars (which fire into the ground and detonate beneath the enemy).

Rapier Direct Fire Battery

Close-support platforms with a choice of gravis heavy bolter battery, gravis multi-laser array, or laser destroyer.

Journal Tactica: The Battle of Tallarn — Part 1

Updated rules for the new Rapiers, Charonite Ogryns, and the Spartan Prometheus Command Tank, focusing on one of the biggest battles of the Horus Heresy.

Middle-earth Strategy Battle Game: The Burning of the Westfold

Middle-earth SBG players got a fantastic set of reveals centred on the conflict in Rohan, with long-awaited cavalry and commander updates alongside a brand new narrative campaign journal.

Riders of Rohan™

The mounted counterparts to the refreshed Warriors of Rohan are finally here. The new plastic kit builds six Riders with a variety of weapon options — four can be assembled with a hand weapon or throwing spear (with bows slung across their backs), while two have bows drawn with hand weapons stowed. All six horses are unique sculpts, and any Rider can be mounted on any horse for maximum variety in massed cavalry ranks.

Warriors of Rohan Commanders

A new command set to lead your Rohan battleline, building three miniatures:

  • Captain — with a choice of armour or heavy armour, and helmeted or bare head options.
  • Warrior with Banner — with sculpted details including the iconic white horse of Rohan.
  • Warrior with War Horn.

Hill Tribes™ Commanders

The enemies of Rohan also get a new command set, building three miniatures:

  • Hill Tribes Chieftain — with a choice of hand weapon and shield, or two-handed weapon. Can also be built as the Wild Man Oathmaker for Wild Men of Dunland armies.
  • Hill Tribesman with Banner.
  • Hill Tribesman with War Horn.

Middle-earth SBG Journal: The Burning of the Westfold

A new narrative campaign journal featuring 11 linked scenarios following Saruman's assault on Rohan — from the Fords of Isen, through Helm's Deep, all the way to the Ride of the Rohirrim at Pelennor Fields. Also includes hobby guides for converting Rohan House kits into settlements and burned-out wreckage, and tips for painting horses.
