Vallejo paints are the best overall for miniatures in our opinion. It is what we always recommend to our customers. There are a number of reasons for this, here are a few:
-One of the main reasons is that they come in dropper bottles, which allows for greater control and application of the paints. This allows you to precisely measure recipes for future projects (2 drops of Bright Red + 1 Drop of Dark Blue for instance). 5. Can I use regular acrylic paint for miniatures?
Acrylic paints are best for miniatures as they are fast drying and can be thinned with water. This allows you to not lose those tiny details when painting with them. Fast drying is also a bonus as you don't want to be waiting hours for paint to dry before moving on to the next step. This makes acrylic paints ideal for miniatures, which online require a small amount of paint to get the job done, and also have high detail points that can be lost with un-thinned paint.
6. Which is better enamel or acrylic paint for miniatures?
Acrylic paints are 100% better for hobby miniatures. Acrylic paints also emit fewer harmful fumes compared to enamel paints. It is much more beginner friendly. Enamel paints have their spot as well, but we always recommend acrylic first.
