Warhammer 40k: Chaos Space Marines

Boardgames enthusiasts from all over the world rejoice!  Stand tall, stand proud, put your best mood on and prepare to have the time of your life, with this mind-blowing set of Warhammer 40k: Chaos Space Marines.  If you are a newbie in the majestic world of board games you are probably wondering what kind of realm is this.

What is the chaos all about?

Will you be ready to dive into the space of the Space Marines? Board games are tricky things.  It’s all about timing, creativity, dedication.  But, underneath all these heroic and villainous figurines and figures, lie characters.

It’s not about the game.  It’s, in fact, about life. As it is in life, in games, too, personalities converge into their creation and demise. They go on hiatus, breakup, leave, come back, they wound and bleed, and sometimes, they do it repeatedly.

It’s hard not get emotionally invested and get pulled down into the abyss, forgetting completely who you are.

That’s what chaos is all about.

But what is Warhammer 40k: Chaos Space Marines?

And who are the Chaos Space Marines to start with?

So, let’s dive deep into this wondrous journey called Warhammer 40k: Chaos Space Marines!

Who are the Chaos Space Marines?

The Chaos Space Marines are sometimes also reffered to as Heretic Marines, Renegade Marines or Traitor Marines. They used to serve the Emperor of Mankind, but decided to abandon it and flee into the Chaos, so they can rule themselves with the realm.

These deceitful Astartes, former residents of the nine original Traitor Legions, deserted the Emperor during the ancient civil war known as the Horus Heresy. It’s a tale old as 10,000 standard years ago. But, these corrupted warriors are not the only ones that deserted the Emperor. There are also the ones from Renegade Space Marine Chapters. They formed long after the Heresy ended. Chaos has the power to corrupt just any Astarte, regardless of the circumstances. Astrates from evry era and realm have fled into the Chaos, being pulled down into the whirlwind by its massive might.

There were two fractions during the terrible Imperial civil war known as Horus Heresy. Brothers turned against brothers from all the 18 known Space Marine Legions and divided into the Chaos Space Marines of the Traitor Legions who turned their backs at the Emperor and pledged their alliance to the four Ruinous Powers of Chaos and the Loyalist Space Marines who stayed faithul to the service of the Imperium and the Emperor of Mankind.

Forces of the Chaos Space Marines

The Chaos Space Marines, as well as all other creatures and things who serve the Ruinous Powers of Chaos and wage war against the Imperium of Man and the many other intelligent races of the Milky Way Galaxy, are referred to as "forces of Chaos."

The Traitor Legions and Renegade Space Marines, Human, mutant, and alien Chaos Cultists, Traitoris Militarum, Traitor Titan Legions, Renegade Knights, the Tech-priests of the Dark Mechanicum, Chaos Spawn cannon fodder, and Daemons of every shape and power level, as well as countless other foul beings too horrific to mention here, are among their number.

The Chaos Space Marines, the most powerful mortal servants of the Ruinous Powers who have ever lived, can lead all of these forces into battle.

The Lost and the Dammned

Many ordinary Humans and mutants obey the orders of the Ruinous Powers as Chaos Cultists or are members of ancient Traitor regiments of the Dark Mechanicum, the Astra Militarium Traitor or the Imperial Army.

All of these forces can be led into battle by the Chaos Space Marines, who are collectively the most powerful mortal servants of the Ruinous Powers who have ever reside in all realms.

These organizations did one of two things. They joined the Horus in his rebellion and subsequently escaped into the Eye of Terror with the Traitor Legions following Horus' defeat 10 millennia ago, or. millennia afterwards, they pledged alliance to the Dark Gods. The Chaos Space Marines frequently use these groups to increase their numbers.

The Inquisition refers to these traitors, mutants, and heretics as the "Lost and the Damned."
