MIDDLE-EARTH SBG: CIRDAN THE SHIPWRIGHT
Círdan the Shipwright is a significant character in J.R.R. Tolkien's legendarium, particularly in "The Silmarillion" and "The Lord of the Rings." He is one of the oldest and wisest Elves in Middle-earth and is known for his skills as a shipbuilder and mariner.
Círdan is of the Teleri, one of the three tribes of Elves who embarked on the Great Journey to Valinor. He is often described as having a long white beard, which is rare among Elves, and a demeanor that reflects his great age and wisdom.
Círdan is most famous for his role as the Lord of the Grey Havens, the Elven port city located on the western shores of Middle-earth. From here, he oversees the building and maintenance of Elven ships that sail into the West, carrying Elves who wish to depart Middle-earth and sail to the Undying Lands.
In addition to his maritime skills, Círdan is also a wise counselor and ally to the Free Peoples of Middle-earth. He aids Gandalf the Grey in his quest to defeat Sauron and plays a key role in the events leading up to the War of the Ring.
