Tamiya TAM14113 HONDA RC166 (1/12) New
The Honda RC166 is a Japanese racing and sports motorcycle that was manufactured by the Honda subsidiary, Honda Racing Corporation, and was part of a long series of RC motorcycles. The RC166 model was first presented to the public in 1966.
The Honda RC166 was developed and put into production as a development of the 3RC164 and RC165 models, from which it inherited a 6-cylinder in-line engine with a capacity of only 249 cm3! Moreover, the engine was able to generate 60 HP in the RC166 models at a maximum speed of 18,000 per minute! What's more, the motorcycle weighed only 112 kilograms, which made it incredibly light and having - for those times - great performance, both top speed and acceleration. It is not surprising that in 1966 the motorcycle won all 10 GP races in which it competed and won the Motorcycle World Championship! It is worth adding that Mike Hailwood won the Isle of Man Tourist Racing twice on this bike.
